Registering a Sensor
Every sensor used on the Converge platform has a unique ID number which is pre registered to your organisation. The number can be found on a QR code on the sensor cable close to the blue connector.
You can register a sensor from your Android or Apple smartphone using the QR code. This requires an app which can support scanning of the QR code. In this guide we have used the free version of Scanbot ( www.scanbot.io ).
You can download this app from the Google Play and Apple App stores using these links:
Once you have the app installed open it and scan the QR code of the sensor you want to register:
Scanbot will then ask you if you want to go to the website, click on ‘Open in Browser’ at the bottom to go to https://alpha.converge.io website.
Once you have opened https://alpha.converge.io you will need to login to the platform and then register the sensor. If you have previously logged in your browser may go straight to the sensor registration page. Once you are logged in you will see the page with the sensors code in the ID box:
You can now name this sensor. We would recommend something that makes it easier for you to locate on the site rather than our example below:
Once you have named the sensor click on register to complete the process.
You will then be asked if you wish to start calculating compressive strength data, if you have not yet poured concrete at this sensor location then select ‘ Not Now’ and your newly registered sensor will be displayed.
If you have poured or are about to pour then select either ‘Yes in the last five minutes’ if you are currently pouring or ‘Yes more than five minutes ago’ if you have already poured on this sensor.
